Introduction

For more than half a century, UCLA Health has provided the best in healthcare and the latest in medical technology both to the people of Los Angeles and globally. Comprising Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica, Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital at UCLA, Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA, and the UCLA Medical Group with its wide-reaching system of primary-care and specialty-care offices throughout the region, UCLA Health is among the most comprehensive and advanced healthcare systems in the world.

Our physicians are leaders in the diagnosis and treatment of complex illnesses, and our hospitals are among the best in the United States. US News and World Report’s annual Best Hospital Honor Roll recognizing the country’s top 20 medical centers has included UCLA Health for 28 consecutive years. In 2017-18, among more than 4,500 facilities evaluated, UCLA Heath hospitals placed #1 in the Los Angeles region and #7 in the US. US News & World Report‘s Best Children’s Hospital rankings in 2017 recognized UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital for quality in all 10 specialties it measured, a reflection of overall excellence.

UCLA Health is at the cutting edge of biomedical research, and our doctors and scientists perform pioneering work across a wide range of disciplines. From organ transplantation, cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, to cancer treatment, UCLA Health brings the latest discoveries to virtually every field of medicine.

Patient Services

UCLA Health offers a special service for every international patient by providing him or her with a personal international patient coordinator. The coordinator is a UCLA representative who can help the patient access all of the special services you would expect from a world-class medical center. The patient coordinator will organize all aspects of the medical coordination and financial arrangements, and the coordinator can assist with other logistics (such as interpretation, accommodations, and transportation). After scheduling the patient and receipt of payment, the International Office will provide a letter confirming the appointment details that the patient can present to help with the visa application. You can find a full, detailed list of all services provided by the International Department on the International Patient Coordination webpage at www.uclahealth.org/international. We offer interpreters in Arabic, Chinese, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Korean, Persian, Russian, Vietnamese, and any other languages requested.
