Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia

Introduction

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), located in the State of Pennsylvania, was the first hospital in the United States devoted exclusively to caring for children. Since its doors opened in 1855, the Hospital has made many medical discoveries that have improved pediatric healthcare and saved countless children’s lives. CHOP is consistently ranked among the top US children’s hospitals by US News & World Report, a respected magazine that families and referring physicians around the world consult when seeking the best pediatric medical care.

The world-renowned medical teams at CHOP have cared for patients from more than 100 countries, offering hope and healing for children with the rarest and most complex conditions. CHOP has an International Patient Services (IPS) team dedicating to helping families access this extraordinary care.

Our multilingual IPS staff supports families before, during, and after their time at CHOP. The IPS team includes highly experienced physicians, nurses, and patient care navigators who work together to meet each child’s and family’s needs.
