Patient Services
We provide a range of services to our international patients. We can:
- Secure and coordinate review of translated medical records, radiology images, & pathology by IU Health physicians to determine acceptance
- Facilitate appointments for initial consultations, tests, or procedures
- Assist with visa and visa extensions
- Assist with accommodations/lodging
- Arrange transportation to and from Indianapolis International Airport
- Assist with bank accounts, cell phones, car rental, prescription pickup
- Escort and navigate patients to appointments
- Secure certified medical interpreters trained in cultural competency and who adhere to national standards of practice and code of ethics
- Coordinate case management
- Provide cultural, religious, and restaurant/grocery resources
- Distribute guides to clinical teams providing healthcare to Latino and Chinese communities
- Coordinate billing with Revenue Cycle Services
- Provide IU Health medical records and radiology images for patients returning to their home country

IU Health is seeking to partner and collaborate with international hospitals. The goal is to provide training and assistance to increase medical infrastructure and quality to effectively serve your community. We offer training & education at IU Health and abroad through continuing medical education, symposia/conferences, site visits, customized training, and physician observerships. We offer advisory & consulting services in patient safety & clinical quality and care delivery models. Finally, we offer support services for pathology and radiology review for rare/complex diseases.
